It has been a little while since I’ve popped in on here. That’s mainly because I have been very busy!! This time of year brings so much joy, but that comes with very little extra time.

I recently put on a styled shoot with an amazing group of vendors! We had the best day all together making some magic happen, despite the rain.

I can’t wait to tell you all about every vendor from the shoot! Since I have to start somewhere, the first one that comes to mind is Thistle Company because the florals set the tone for the whole shoot.

Katie is such a joy to work with, and I got to meet Hannah this time around. Together, they make up the best little team I’ve ever seen in action.

I reached out to Katie to help with the florals for the shoot. From there, I showed her an idea of what I was going for within a certain color palette. She seemed very excited about the whole vision board that I sent her, so from there I let her do her thing. And boy, did she blow my expectations completely out of the water! I couldn’t stop gawking at the arrangements as they were setting up on the day of the shoot.

For all my brides out there, this is a tip for you:

TRUST the vendors that you hire. If you show them a couple of ideas or colors to stick with, but mainly let them do their thing, you will get their best work!

That’s exactly what I did with Katie at Thistle Co. She picked and ordered all the florals and made my vision come to life all on her own.

She also went above and beyond to get the lanterns you see above the table. It’s one of my favorite parts of the entire shoot. She made them a reality after I told her (a week before the shoot) that I was upset because I didn’t think we would be able to get the lanterns and make them work as originally planned.
