Josie and Paul Joe got married this past August at their hometown church, St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Immediately after the ceremony, guests were able to walk on over to The Grand Opera House of the South for the reception since it was right across the street.

Couples, this is something to keep in mind when picking your ceremony and reception venue- close proximity is key to an all-around successful day! I could go on and on about the many reasons why, but just trust me when I say it makes everyone (guests, vendors, and wedding party) happy!

This summer day was filled with some of the sweetest people and some even sweeter moments. There are too many for me to list so I asked Josie what was one memory that sticks out to her and she said,

“Finally getting to see each other in church. Definitely calmed all the nerves and felt like it was just us in that moment.”

I love that. There were 500+ guests packed into the church and she still felt like it was just them two!

I have to say, Josie picked an incredible group of vendors! Everyone was extremely awesome to work with, and you will be able to see in the pictures below how well everyone did their job. When asked who her favorite vendor was, Josie said,

“I would definitely say Lauren, the photographer, as well. She was amazing with everyone & made sure I was okay all day long.”

I personally can vouch for that. Lauren is so dang sweet!! Counting down the days until we get to work together again! (Counting on you, future brides, to make that happen)
I will leave you guys with some wise words from the bride—

“Definitely get a wedding planner, it is so worth it. Also, take in every moment before the wedding & for the day of the wedding because it all goes by so quickly.”

I try to tell my couples this all the time, soak in every moment. At the end of the night when I grab them to send them off for their exit, about 90% of the time they say “I can’t believe it’s already over!” The saying time flies when you are having fun is even more true when you are getting married and celebrating with all of your favorite people in the world!
